Paint defect on Arctic White 2016

Shortly after taking delivery of my 2016, I discovered a very small bubble in the paint on my driver's front fender. It looks like a small fisheye caused by a speck of contaminant in the paint. I've tried to photograph it, but it was difficult to get it to show up good in the photo (it's near the middle if you magnify it).

My question is, should I attempt to get it fixed under warranty, or leave as-is? I don't want it to get bigger or create problems later on, but I'm afraid the repair might cause more damage to the factory finish, than what it will fix

It is not so much the "match technology" as discussed above because that is the easiest part of the repair such as this on a new vehicle. I had my entire car repainted (all clear removed not base) to the specifications that the car should be painted to now it looks like black obsidian!) is matching the orange peel ......

Just know this going forward. MOST OF ALL find a good paint shop!!!!!!

As pointed out above as well it might not be worth it but only you can be the judge of that.

They'll probably have to paint the entire fender. I think white is difficult to match. My daughter had to have her rear quarter panel repainted on her new white 2016 GMC Yukon because of a similar issue and the paint does not match. It's not noticeable at a distance but up close, it's pretty obvious.

I have several spots like this on my 2017 Enclave, hood, right front fender and right rear quarter panel. Mine are from weld splash. Dealership offered to fix by removing the spots and repainting the areas. I refused because I felt the mismatch of paint on the fender, hood, etc., would stand out and be more apparent than the imperfections. So, I decided to just live with it and considered this a lesson learned.

I would do as one person suggested above: I would take it to the dealer and get it documented. I would get it in writing that they will fix this at any time of your choosing as long as the car is still under warranty. Then I would live with it for a while to see if I really wanted to do it or not, since the cure, in some cases, might cause more problems than the present defect.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

It looks as if there might be a small speck of metal under the clearcoat that caused the bubble. It's not a big deal to live with it (the only reason I noticed, is because I wash the car and I know it's there now) as long as it doesn't begin to flake off or deteriorate the surrounding paint.

Yeah, those are two potential reasons why the documentation at the dealership now is important, just in case you ever need it later.

I have a white '16 Z06. I have A big run in the paint on my hood and dirt/"fish eyes" in almost every panel. GM said they would "repaint" it. All I can say is that they are only original once. It's a shame that they slide through QC and we have to pay the price. I have a friend that had his door repainted on a new Z because of defects and they did not blend into the quarter panel as they should have because GM did not want to pick up the tab. Now his car looks 10x worse and it looks obvious that there was paint work done. Hey its only 100k. I own a body shop and opted to leave mine alone because the chances of it looking worse and incurring other problems outweigh the present issue. Hope this helps with your decision.

STINGmole. it's not that noticeable but I'm looking at a picture. Our C7 masterpiece has imperfections in the paint. If you can live with it wheel on, if not talk with the tech at the Chevrolet body shop they may be able to square it away with a matching AW color to boot. Good luck with your choice.

Sorry izzy, but this will derail the intent of the OP of this thread. If you would like to get a feel for member response to paint quality on our C7s, I encourage you to look at the many posts and multiple threads on the topic on our forum.
