Drove down to the lions game in Detroit yesterday and parked in a lot with a new Vette. Owner was RAVING about the car and I can tell you the C7 is even more impressive in person. I'm not a fan of Yellow but this car was absolutely beautiful. Had the carbon (black) mirrors and rear spoiler (so glad I ordered those on mine). I'm getting quite impatient now.:(

It was Z51, mag ride, perf exhasut, 7-speed manual and as you can see had the single body colored roof panel - which I think looks pretty nice.

The son pictured with the car is the only one in my house who actually knows we're getting one. My wife and three other boys are not in on our little secret. He was more excited than me to see it!!!

General Rule of Thumb: Liking/Not Liking The StingRay's Looks

Before a Corvette owner has seen a C7 in person, 2/3's like the car's look.

Once a Corvette owner has stood next to a C7, 7 out of 8 Corvette owners like the StingRay's looks.

On several occasions, have stood next to Corvette owners who, on their first time approaching the car often commented, something like, "it looks so much better in person;" or, "I did't like the car before now, but this thing is ....... gorgeous;" or, "not sure before, but I've got to find a way to get one now," -- often adding to the person they came with something like, "we selling the C_ and buying one of these."

Pictures and even many videos do not do this car justice.

I still haven't seen one in person. Luckily, my AW goes into production this week.:D I've been absolutely worthless at work for the past month. I keep reminding myself that just because it's ordered doesn't mean it's paid for.

It really has a Supercar look in person, very low and sleek - which doesn't come through in the pics and videos we've all been looking at.

Agreed. Contributing to that is that it is wider, longer and lower than an entry level C6, and with its 40% smaller panel gaps and its sharp edge creases, it looks like a race car even standing still.

Agreed. It's really hard to believe the car is all it is for the cost.

I had an interesting observation the first time I saw one in person. Up till last week all my wife and I have seen are pictures and both of us absolutely love the look. From the pictures it doesn't hit you in the face that it's a Corvette. You know it is nnd you can see the styling clues but it's subtle in pictures.

In person the car is IMMEDIATELY recognizable as a Corvette. My initial thought was, "wow, this really looks more like a Corvette in person than it does in pictures". The rear is what gives it away along with the proportions. Looking at the car from the side, especially when you are at a slight angle the rear just screams Corvette. The hood looks longer and the rear taller in person.
