Plasti-dip stinger stripe?
Thinking about doing a plasti-dip stinger stripe anybody done this or have thoughts on it?

Here is my emblems dipped. 5 coats black 3 coats gloss. I also took off the "corvette." I already order my stinger stripe from vettefx with supercharged on it just have to wait to get the procharger installed before I put that on.
The grille looks great but I don't understand this plasti-dip. What does it feel like on that chrome bar and can you wipe it off? Will bugs stick to it? ThanksHey H2OStingray,
I plasti-dipped my emblems black with gloss as Suzy_Cruisy mentioned. It came out pretty good on my first attempt. I also did the chrome strip on the grill. I went with 5 coats of black plasti-dip and 5 coats of glossifier.

Yes bugs will stick to it just like any other part of the car. I just wash them off without any plastic dip damage. Note: I only did 3 coats and no glossifier and it's been on for months now.The grille looks great but I don't understand this plasti-dip. Yeah bugs do stick to it but you can clean it off like normal.

When you did the chrome bar in the grille, did you take it off or cover up the grille and paint the bar? Is the glossifier(is that the correct name?) used just for the plastydip?Hey H2OStingray,

I just masked off the grill with newspaper with only the chrome strip exposed. Then sprayed 5 coats of black plasti-dip and 5 coats of plasti-dip glossifier.
I believe the glossifier is only meant for plasti-dip. Never tried it for anything else.
