I wrote Halltech and asked them when they would be coming out with a non carbon fiber CAI since I know for me I do not want to spend that much on a CAI. They informed me that there is no demand for them that is why they are not making them. I personally disagree I think there is a huge demand for a more reasonably priced CAI so I am making this poll to see what you all think.

I'm interested, however since I won't have my C 7 till spring,(hopefully), I don't know what prices you guy's are talking about. I ordered mine with the Z 51 pkg so it's taking longer to get! Can someone give me some prices, with & without the carbon filter please? Thanks, Robert

Most of your options right now are strictly carbon fiber and are around 700-1200. We are hoping they come out with more non carbon fiber options at a more reasonable price soon. You can upgrade with just a green filter for now if you do not want to wait for the CAI I know Ben from weaponX offers them.

Waiting for cold air inductions, inc....I think they make a nice product.
I just wrote on their website that I was interested for one for my car. You know when they are supposed to be coming out with one?

Can anyone give me real Dyno. numbers that prove that an aftermarket CAI is any better than the stock induction system??? thousands of hours by engineers trying to straighten out the air charge , and someone sticks a sewer pipe with an oil soaked cloth element in front of a very sensitive MAF, and that's supposed to be an "improvement"?

You should have another category in your poll: "I do not need a CAI because I am going to add a Supercharger"

$1200 for CAI is insane, wait for the Vararam. I got the one on my C6 used for around $200.

I just can't see paying Halltech $1300 for 14 horsepower. I am just going to settle with a 5 horsepower gain and get a Green Filter for now. I plan on getting Kooks headers and mid-pipes, The Green Filter and a tune. I just hate having to pay for another tune as soon as a affordable legit CAI comes out.

We'll I lied about just buying the green filter. I had a couple too many beers on the couch last night and I pulled the trigger and bought the Halltech stinger cold air intake. As soon as it gets delivered and installed I'll give you guys some feedback.
