Good news, for it is increasingly looking as if that 2015 price increase on StingRays will be modest. Thanks "Torque News," for this specific post:
"Around that same time (July),
we should get a full spread of pricing for the 2015 model year Corvette which - according to Chevrolet spokesperson Monte Doran – won’t change all that much for the 2015 models. The base price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray fastback is $53,995 and that includes the $995 destination fee. We would expect that there will be at least some price hike for the new 8-speed automatic transmission, but with few other changes to the base Stingray, the price of those 2015 Corvettes with the 7-speed manual could remain very near the price of the 2014 models. Keep in mind, almost all of the new features for the 2015 Corvette are optional items from the appearance packages to the new 8-speed automatic transmission, so the base price may not change much at all for the new model year."
Torque News' comment about 2015 pricing not changing much is being echoed by other car industry analysts. And, if confirmed in July, would be a lot better news than some folks talking about a $2,500, to as much as $4,000 price increase for the 2015 StingRay
