I believe it could go 2 ways. Earlier, like at the bash if there's a significant price increase or later, like after June 20th if there isn't.

Here's my logic, if they announce early and there's nothing significantly different they could stall the last 6 weeks of dealer orders. If they announce early and there is a significant price increase it could energize the last 6 weeks of 2014 orders.

I voted for after June 20th.

Sales always walks a fine line when releasing information about future products. Marketing wants to maintain the excitement but in doing that they routinely sabotage the sales channel.

In addition to the pricing issues the available options play a huge role. How many people who were going to buy a 2014 are now waiting on the 2015 because of the A8? How many Z51 buyers would cancel their 2014 order and switch to a 2015 if Mag Ride becomes a stand alone option? Every action has consequences but I think the only way they announce anything before they are obligated to with the dealer network is if that change would accelerate 2014 sales between the time of the announcement and the close of the 2014 order bank in June.

Oh, I love Mark's reasoning as well.

However, I'm not sure what GM WANTS. Do they want to take a deep breath and stall out the orders so they can catch up? Or do they want to energize the orders because they have that set number they want to build and they don't think there are enough pent up 1100s or whatever the code is that they want to finish up those?

I voted smack in the middle, because I'm clueless as to how it is really going.

I WANT it to be at the Bash though, so the mystery is over! LOL!

And how much more will the 2015's be?Another $2,000 jump? Or possibly $3,000-$$5,000 or more?
My prediction, based on historical information, about $500 in he first round but expect another $1000 - $1500 bump in the Oct / Nov time frame as more new features come online.

I vote after June 20th. Production isn't supposed to start until Aug. I've had my deposit down on a 2015 since Nov 2013, so waiting has become a facet of life in general. :roll eyes:
A later build for the 2015 will allow dealers to clear out more 2014s, and the closer to summer, especially up here in the perpetually rained upon Pacific Northwest. will cause the checkbooks to come flying out so fast they'll run the rear seam in your pants when we finally see sunshine in these northern parts.

As a side note, just who is this Elegant guy??????

Looking like those who voted for June 20th+ for 2015 pricing to be released will be correct, for two connected dealers are saying after the first 2015 consensus (June 26th); in fact both are saying around mid to late July -- yes up to a month after initial orders go in.

Good news, for it is increasingly looking as if that 2015 price increase on StingRays will be modest. Thanks "Torque News," for this specific post:

"Around that same time (July), we should get a full spread of pricing for the 2015 model year Corvette which - according to Chevrolet spokesperson Monte Doran – won’t change all that much for the 2015 models. The base price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray fastback is $53,995 and that includes the $995 destination fee. We would expect that there will be at least some price hike for the new 8-speed automatic transmission, but with few other changes to the base Stingray, the price of those 2015 Corvettes with the 7-speed manual could remain very near the price of the 2014 models. Keep in mind, almost all of the new features for the 2015 Corvette are optional items from the appearance packages to the new 8-speed automatic transmission, so the base price may not change much at all for the new model year."

Torque News' comment about 2015 pricing not changing much is being echoed by other car industry analysts. And, if confirmed in July, would be a lot better news than some folks talking about a $2,500, to as much as $4,000 price increase for the 2015 StingRay

That falls in line with what my Dealer advised me today: no orders until July. Getting very hard to wait, but on the other hand I hate to see Summer go by so fast even if I hate the wait...catch 22????

So what will you think the price be for the 2015 Z06 anyone care to take A guess?
Z06 base pricing is estimated, depending on who is making the projection, to be, without a single option, between $75-85K, with most thinking about $79K. For more Z06 info, including pricing discussion:
