Hotwheels,

Are you using an iPad? I have noticed that happening only when I am on my iPad and clicking on the "HOME / WHAT'S NEW? / FORUM / ect" line near the top. I will have to re-log in when I do that....however, when I hit the "back" arrows to back my way out of a thread and I stay in the forum section that I have initially selected, I will stay logged in. I do not have this problem with my computer....only my iPad.

Hope this helps...

AJ

Can someone explain why if I go to the Discussions or Photo Threads my user name disappears from the top of the page and I cannot post or reply?? Do not have problem with any of the other threads.
I will need some more information on this to determine what the issue is. Can you get me the details on your browsing environment and possibly some screen caps of the issue that you are having?

I am using Explorer 10 on a Dell desk top and Yahoo as my home page.
I sign in at the Forum home page and the Welcome Hotwheels65 comes up in the header. When I select the tabs [What's New, Forums, Gallery, etc;] the Welcome Hotwheels65 is still on the page selected. Yesterday when I went to Discussions & Photo Threads my user name disappeared and I could not reply/post on either thread. Today I came to this thread after logging in and the same thing happened when I tried to post this reply. I went back to the Home Page, What's' New, and Gallery tabs and my user name was still there. I then went to the Photo thread and my user name was still there and the posting permissions block said I was OK so I posted a reply with pictures. I came back to this thread and my user name was now still at the top and it allowed me to post this reply. Is there a lag time between when I sign in and your system will allow positive posting permissions? I am basically a two fingered typist so I doubt I am exceeding the capacity of the system!

Do you select "Remember Me" when you log in?

There is a chance that the page is timing out (or the "cookie" is expiring) by the time that you get your response composed. Are you getting an error screen when you click on the "Post Reply" button?

I do not select remember me. I don't think it is timing out because as soon as I select a page my login is not at the top of the page. No login = no permission to post or reply. If I back out of that page and go to another page and my login is at the top then I can post/reply. Tonight I have gone to several different threads and my login has stayed on what ever page I open.

Try logging out and then back in. Make sure to select the Remember Me box. It sounds as though your browser is not holding on to the cookies that will keep you logged in while navigating through the site.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
