What part of the VIN in the production number of the car?

The last 6 digits are the sequence numbers. Actually, the last 5 on the Corvette because they used the most left digit to identify internal, normal, premier and custom VIN numbers.

Of course, the 500 Premier Edition coupes had special VINs, and so will the convertible ones, so your VIN won't reflect those. Our VIN was 108500, but given the premier editions, was at least the 9000th vette built.
