Hi all, I'm looking to purchase aftermarket wheels for standard z51 run flat tires but I'm having difficulty matching the specs for the OEM wheels. What size of wheels provide a great fit, can I go up .5" without a protruding lip on the tire? Really not a big fan of wheels that don't fit the tire properly. I'm looking at the TRW Nurburgring. Really like the HRE FlowForm FF01 but those seem to def require new non run flat tires. Thoughts/guidance? Much appreciated. - Todd

Michelin factory specs are:

Front (18" & 19"): 8"-9.5"
Rear 19": 9.5"-11"
Rear 20": 9"-10"

Doesn't really matter what the Internet says, these are the specs. If the aftermarket wheels aren't within these specs then you should be looking at new tires.

remember the TSW/Cray does not protrude 1/2 inch, as there are two sides to the rim... - it protrudes 1/4 inch which is barely perceptible unless you are looking for it...here's how your "1/2 inch" looks in a 19/20 setup:

What I found interesting when I looked up the specs on the Michelin site is the non-run flats in the exact same sizes had completely different specs, including recommended wheel widths and total tire diameter.

While I don't think the extra 1/2 inch of the TSW's would be a problem for the rears it may compromise the run flat characteristics. A call to Michelin might be in your best interest.

Working on another angle, too. TSW website had the exact spec listed as an option but WestCoastCorvette didn't. So I placed a call into WCC and they are reaching out to TSW to see if they can be ordered.

Problem solved! Went over to Discount Tire, they called TSW and ordered the exact same spec as Z51 OEM wheels and they will arrive in 3 days
Excellent news, I love discount tire. Pictures are required :)

Will post pics after install and wife settles down as she thinks they are all just tires ;)
That's funny. Yes, pics please.

What wheels do you have that you're removing?

And which Discount Tire store was so helpful (since you're nearby).

Cheers,
