Has anyone mastered how to manage and view the radio favorites? They do not seem to be intuitive. Any help on how to add/delete and view the favorites would be helpful. Thanks Joe
Joe- your Stingray has a radio;);) ? I never noticed one in RedHot, I have been too busy listening to the NPP symphony in V8  [Sorry, really couldn't help myself...]

I have the same system in my Silverado and it takes some getting used to. It's also a horrible touch screen and they make you use the touch screen to pull up favorites so that part literally has me giving the finger to the system on a regular basis. I default to the dash favorites menu, it's easier to navigate.

You have the option of letting it expand the number of places automatically or hard setting it to 3 rows. I set it to 3 rows.
You can store any combination of presets in the favorites (one of the nice features) so I have AM, FM, XM, iPod playlists, Navigation destinations and even Phonebook entries stored in the buttons. Once push to call home or go between AM/FM/XM/iPod or navigate to your favorite watering hole, that's pretty sweet
To set a preset select the mode and station then press and hold any button until the system beeps (that's also the quickest way to reprogram a button, just overwrite what was there).

Now, the pain in the ass part, getting between the 3 rows. You have 2 options, attempting to scroll left and right (good luck with that) or expanding the list vertically to show all 3 rows. The easiest way I have found to scroll the screen up or side to side is to press and hold an area BETWEEN 2 buttons. This prevents you from selecting a different preset or reprogramming a preset. You can then drag left, right or up to get to the button you want. This is why I use the dash display and navigate with the steering wheel controls, it's not random access but it's easier to get to where you want to be.

This is far from an exhaustive dissertation of all the setting you have but it's a start while you read the manual ;)

LOL. Sorry for the LOL but your question was asked by me a few months ago and with the same tone of incredulity. Now that I have the car and have been dragged into the media world of the 21st century, it's not so bad. Put your CDs on a flash drive. It works fine and is actually far more convenient.

The iPod is your friend. I loaded about 500 CD's into iTunes a few years back and have several different playlists to use depending on my mood.

I just don't like the inferior sound quality that comes from a low bitrate rip. I have a lot of stuff ripped but not everything. I guess I am getting dated too.

one thing you must do is do not read the directions ever ever ever - every item that has directions is so hard to read that you do no want to stress yourself out - just look at pictures and watch movies if your girlfriend isn't up to entertaining you...then go back to the track and red line the car again...

Here's how to store phone contacts as favorites. It's for other mylink cars but it's the same on the C7.
