I've only had my new C7 for three days, but am stumped with something that should be simple -- storing XM radio stations in memory. I saved three stations easily, but can't store any more. I tune into a station and press and hold memory button #4. It beeps and I release the button just like I did with the first three, but the station has not been saved. What am I doing wrong? (By "button," I mean the button icon at the bottom of the Infotainment screen.)

At first glance, this sounds like a software bug.

Related question...
The pull up tab for the memory buttons disappears off my audio screen (still on home and others though).

I have to leave my audio screen, go to home screen, to pull up presets ;-(

How do I get it to come back?

Referring to my original post on radio station memory ....

I'm embarrassed to report that I learned from my local Chevy dealer "techo-expert" that I just need to hold the button in longer to save the station I'm tuned to. When a button is pushed, an almost immediate beep is heard -- but the station has NOT yet been saved. Continue holding the button (by pressing the screen) in for a few more seconds and the station will be saved.

I don't know how I managed to save the first three stations without learning this. After all, I am a retired engineer!

I also wanted to mention that when we did our 48-hour rental, that we were able to set NAV locations in the presets as well as radio stations.

I thought that was pretty cool! We did it accidentally. ;) Don't ask me how!

In our short visit with the rental car though, we were never able to figure out how to get off the 'first five' presets and get to the second or third five (like sallye maybe?). We will have to get the manual out to figure that out once we have the car down the road.

Cheers,

That is a nice feature.

There are 60 "favorites" presets, so it would be hard for most of us to run out, even when using the NAV.

It is interesting that they don't mention the NAV favorites as a feature in the how to video. Darn. It will have to be trial and error once we get the car!

I have 25 presets programmed. You swipe the bottom where the 5 presets are listed from right to left to see the next set of 5. It's easier to do at a stop light than trying to do it on the fly.

I can't get my screen to swipe. Is there another way to program more than the 5 that are showing? I do have it set to program 25 but my screen won't swipe up or down and I did do the configure screen like the video shows...hmmmm...what do ya"ll think?

You should be able to clear it out through the settings. At least, you can in the wife's Caddy. I assume the 'Vette is similar. Did you check the owner's manual?

On my screen, the presets at the bottom of the screen do not move to the next set as you paddle thru them as they do on every other vehicle I own or have owned. Is that a problem with my system, or is that just the way it is?

Make sure the memory settings in the radio settings are set to auto or something more than 5. Also, above the presets there should be 2 through 5 yellow dots depending on how many presets you have the system set to. If there aren't any dots the it's set to 5.

I've found the touch screen has a very poor response to swipes left/right and also up.
What (occasionally) works for me is to use my thumb, or a bigger tip of my finger, and swipe right/left very slowly. Don't expect the icons to scroll with your swipe...just kind of swipe over and hopefully it should work.

If you swipe up while in the radio it'll display 3 rows (15 presets). I keep it showing 15 so I don't have to swipe left/right. You may have to select 15 as the number of presets though, I'm not sure.
