Hi guys, I've wanted a Stingray ever since I saw my first curvy C3 back in the '70s and I've always liked the script Stingray badging on that car. So I decided when my Lime Rock C7 coupe arrived, I'd remove the rear 'Corvette' badge and put on my retro 'Stingray' badges. I think it works, I'm curious what the rest of you think. I hope the photo's post appropriately, if they look upside down, click the full size banner and they show up correctly... Land vehicle Vehicle Car Motor vehicle Sports car

I like it a lot, and this is a mod that I've been considering for over a month.

Seeing how good it looks on LRG, I'll probably reproduce some of your mods on my C7.

My current thought is to replace the C7 Stingray side emblems with the classic scripts, and leave the C7 "Corvette" emblem on the back as-is...

No worries, glen... I definitely think that there are two groups of C7 lovers out there. Some of us like the chrome and the badging, and some like a more blacked-out look with the black wheels and carbon badging. I did take your suggestion a few months back though of putting the rear badge underneath the flags instead of above the right taillights, good call...

p.s. by having the script 'Stingray' and the chrome fish together on the side, I'm hoping more people will know that it's not a guitar... :)
Love the back, too many badges on the side for me.....

Understood, it's not about the back vs chrome camps, it's about 3 pieces of surface ornamentation so close to each other: the script, the fish and the vent itself, if they were all black or chrome it would not matter, the sheer amount of plastic badging is too much for my eye.....

But as we must say here, do what you like.....I do like the back, I'm running the stingray in the C7 font from Vette fx until I can get it in a CF badge:

I know it is not time-period correct for the C7, but I like it anyway, docMonty.

The badges are GM replacement parts for the C3. They come with posts which I took off with a dremel tool. It needed some extra double sided tape as well. Definitely no holes in my pretty green car :)
Where did you get the C3 Stingray badge and did you have to drill holes?
