Have auto transmission. Have hit the lock button and remote start a dozen times. Won't work.
Are you holding the start button down until the engine starts? It's not just a momentary push.

Randy, I press my door lock button twice and then hold the start button down until I hear it start. I take it every other function works on your fobs.

Press the door lock for about 1/2 sec ( until the lights blink) then hold the start button until the engine starts...you just may not be holding it long enough..

As I walk across a parking lot and can see the car, I first hit the door lock and see the tail lights flash, then I hold down the start button until the rear lights flash again. I then release, 1-2 secs later the starter engages...

I had an experience where my wife's cars fob would not work in our driveway. Went to the dealer twice and they could not figure it out. After allot of trial and error it turned out that the outdoor remote temperature sensor/sender for a weather channel unit in side the house was interfering with the ability of the fob to work with the car. I pulled the batteries out of the sender and the fob worked.

After starting remotely and getting into the vehicle, what is the process to drive off? Seems to require stopping and restarting manually, which couldn't be the way it was intended. Gear shift is locked out of drive when getting in.

When you get in the car and the car is running, the start/stop button is red. Put your foot on the brake and press the start/stop button. The button will now be green.

You are now ready to drive away.

That does it, I wasn't pressing the brake pedal when pushing the start button, which shuts down the engine..
The remote has an impressively long range, specified as 197 feet. While the remote start isn't really a necessity for me, it's still kind of a cool gee whiz feature. :)
