I am looking for clarification regarding the types of roof options on the new Stingray. As I understand it the 'standard' roof panel is carbon fiber and body colored. So I presume that means it does not allow any light through. Is the CC3 option- the 'Transparent' roof panel also carbon fiber? Does it weigh the same as the standard panel? Is it tinted to reduce heat transfer? Is the C2Z 'visible carbon fiber with body color surround' also transparent? Thanks in advance for helping me decide which I plan on ordering.

The stock roof is carbon and painted as you said so no light it's solid. The transparent roof I don't believe has any carbon it's tinted glass. Can't say what the weight difference will be but my guess is the glass roof will weigh a little more. The visible carbon is not transparent it's solid. Visible carbon means you will see the carbon fiber.

I am placing an order right now and was told that the 1LT couple comes standard with the transparent roof and i would have to make the jump to 2LT to get the body color or visible carbon fiber? I asked him to double check but he was adamant about the body color roof was not an available option for the 1LT. Has anyone else heard of this?

I just looked at the order guide the visible carbon fiber roof is not available for the 1LT. The 1LT comes standard with the painted top and you can get as an option the transparent roof or both.

Whereas the average C6 removable top weighed 24 pounds, the average weight of the C7 carbon fiber roofs (complete body paint color and visible CF) has been reduced to 16 pounds. No exact weight on the C7 transparent roof that I've seen yet.
