I have owned Corvettes way too long starting with a 70 when I was 21 and today we our proud owners of a 14.Way too many memories and stories to recount but the one that stands out in my mind involves my daughter Lindsay. In 1992 my daughter was 6 years old and very much in love with a certain red and red 1981,this was the only Corvette she ever knew.I really wanted a 92 LT1,which back in the day was bad-ass with 300 hp.I took her to the dealership with me to get our new car but when she found out we were getting this car instead, she totally freaked out,I mean she was hysterical.I had to leave and take her home, she finally calmed down after a few hours and a trip to the store to buy her a $125.00 stuffed Shetland Sheepdog! She had nothing to say when the 13 was sold ,what's up with that?;)

My second vette was a 93 ZR1 and I had lucked into it by total accident! This was in 1999 and I had a run of f-bodys and was wanting something on the next level. I had decided that a C4 would fit my budget so I started looking for one that had low miles and was really wanting a 6sp witch I found out is hard to find in a C4. Well after about a month of looking I seen one in our local paper and called about it. The price was right, the miles where right, and was a 6sp so I started to get excited! When I showed up to look at the car it was stuffed in a one car garage with a BUNCH of stuff all over it and had about a inch of dust on it, in fact I thought it was brown (it was black). I asked the elderly lady if there was a way to get it cleaned off and out of the garage so I could take a closer look at it. She said she would have her grandson come over and get it cleaned off by the next day. I was a little nervous as to what shape it was going to be in with so much stuff pilled on it. Got there the next afternoon and it was cleaned off and sitting in the driveway still with all that dust on it. It was super clean on the inside so I offered the lady x about of dollars and she took it. At this point I had not done something I ALWAYS do when looking at a car, I never popped the hood to look at the engine. I got the car home thinking at this point it is a regular vette. I finally popped the hood and notice right away the motor was not a LT1!! I had herd about ZR1's but had never seen one so I was not sure what I had. Next day I took it to the chevy dealer pulled in the service drive and ask the advisor to take a look. As soon as the hood came up he said this is a ZR1 motor. He run my vin and found out is was the real deal. So I got a ZR1 for normal vette price.

My son always talks about the way we brought him home in a new corvette...
I have a 3 year old now...
She won't be able to ride with me for a while due to the kid seat laws.
Not good!

Had a 1985 Corvette with the cross port tuned injection. Took it to a friend's father who always bragged about the Corvettes he worked on. Dropped it off and got a call two hours later..... My Vette was on fire. I felt like I lost a piece of me that day.
