I have enjoyed my C7 Stingray for 7months but noticed when shifting to reverse on cold mornings the shifter is very stiff and on warm weather days no problems? Can anyone give insight

My 2016 Z06 shifts just a bit hard first thing in the morning. But I do not drive it below 40F.
How cold is cold for you?

You didn't tell us which transmission you have (M7 A6 or A8?).

If you might benefit from changing the fluid. 25 years ago we had this problem with our Ford Escort (4spd manual) and changing to synthetic fluid made it smooth in all temperatures. Likewise, my 1984 Camaro (4spd auto) had troubles shifting when below -10F, changing the fluid helped that a lot.
When cold, the fluid in the transmission get thicker, just like motor oil. That's what makes it harder to shift. You don't say how old your C7 is, or what transmission, but a change to synthetic fluid might help, especially on older or higher mileage cars. Or you can just say "that's the nature of the beast," and live with it, like I did for 6 years in my C7 M7.
I have a 2014 Stingray with 50K miles and I live Alabama so winters are mild.
Our 2014 C7 M7 shifted about the same for just over 100,000 miles. Car was never tracked.
