25° at 8 o'clock this morning. A light snow dusting in Estes Park Colorado. Here's a pic of the Beauty learking in the weeds. Taking her home later today to lower warmer conditions. Got the glide path defined for re entry.

007's VET, we got a touch at 6000 feet in highlands ranch. just a little stuck on roofs, trees and things like that. nothing on actual ground. Still chilly here, in the mid 30s. I'll be happy for warmer temps to return tomorrow and Sunday! It's a few weeks to early for snow in my book.

Friends coming home from BG on their return trip from the National Corvette Caravan, were at Mt. Rushmore a week ago yesterday. One week later, 7" of snow. At least in some parts of the country, winter is peeking its head above the ground.

Just a dusting here in Parker @ 6,100' too. This storm wasn't supposed to deliver any snow up in the high country, just down on the front range, upslope style...

Didn't amount to much - I was a little disapointed.
September snow down here is fairly rare, and an affirmation of the kick-ass Winter we're supposed to be heading into.

Great shot 007's VET! I really like the almost monochromatic effect of the picture with your red Beauty in the front

Chip, it's a bit early. Might not be as early for 007 being at 8500ft, but for me at 6k, it's one of the earlier snows. Our average high is the mid 70s and average low in the mid 40s. Average first snow is mid Oct. It's still boating season for me, so getting back to the 70s and 80s starting tomorrow is a good thing. Not quite ready to wax up the snow skis!

Chip, It even snows in July up in the higher elevations. For most of Colorado in the high country you really don't have the freezing and snow to really worry about until Thanksgiving time frame. Not to say it doesn't happen. However with this little light snow it will pay to plan ahead and watch the weather. Switching back to my 2007 front wheel drive Ford 500 'urban assault vehicle' will be a safe thing during these weather pattern changes. Phil
