Yesterday I took my 2016 C7 Z51 to my regular Chevy dealer for a software update, and after I picked it up I noticed that absolutely nothing runs on my screen now.
Not the radio, or navigation or anything else.
All I can see on my screen is "Calibrate Device" in red letters.
When engine is off and Accessory is on I can see a blue screen with "Cadillac Cue".
Again with just Accessory on my Infotainment does come on (but never and absolutely nothing runs when engine runs) and I see that "Cadillac XTS" is trying to pair with my smartphone.
Very weird.
I suspect that the technician who updated my software used the wrong software ...... is my hunch correct?
The technician has installed a Cadillac software instead of a Chevrolet software ...... will this wrong software make my system completely inoperable?
I have called Chevy customer service at 800-222-1020 and they were no help. They informed me that a specialist will call me within 2 business days.
I guess I have to be patient till I get a call.
I have called this very unhelpful and unreachable dealer and left messages to my service advisor, the service manager and the general manager ...... so far no one has called.
If you are in Colorado do not take your Corvette to Century Chevrolet in Broomfield because so far they seem to be a poor and uncaring dealership.
If someone from GM or Chevrolet sees this post please contact me if you can help me. Leave a message for me here please.
If anybody has any helpful ideas please share.
I am attaching here 3 pictures from my C7 screen to help you.
I hope this mishap will never happen to any of you.

Update: I did drive back to this dealer, like the 2 above suggestions, and politely but sternly I asked them to please install the CORRECT software this time.
They were of course embarrassed and gave me a free loaner car and I hope this time it will be done properly.
It puzzles me though how can a technician make such a huge mistake as I am sure the GM software update system verifies with the technician to check if they have selected the correct software version.......and then ask "If you are sure then click on YES".
I wonder if there any good experienced technicians here who can shed a light on this software update procedure.
I will update this thread after I pick up my Corvette, either later today or by tomorrow. Hopefully I will report good news.
Wish me luck.

Update: At last I do have good news. The dealer kept the car for 2 days and after I picked it up I tested the complete system to make sure that this time the correct software version was installed, and happy to report that yes it was and everything now runs well. Now I also have the new Android Auto which was not installed on my 2016 Z51 as it was built in November 2015. I believe that Android Auto became available around March or April 2016. I also learned that for Android Auto to work properly you need to plug your Android smartphone to the Vette with a proper USB cable (like the one that came with your smartphone), I connected mine to the USB port in the center console (under the arm rest). As soon as I connected my USB cable the Android Auto icon appeared on the center display.
Erroneously the dealer had informed me that I got the latest software version and that my GPS also was updated to the latest version, I was very pleased to hear this news and assumed that it would be the new 2019 GPS version that now comes with the current new models. But after driving and testing my new GPS I found out that it is still the same one I had before the update. There has been new roads built in my area over 2 years ago and my GPS does not show the new updated roads. Oh well .....at least now it works properly and I now I have Android Auto which was missing on my system. There could be other new software enhancements that I am unaware of but unfortunately the GPS is not one of them.

Glad it has been corrected JohnUSA and is now working. My guess is that the dealer meant some of the GPS software was updated to the latest version, not the actual maps-- that is separate upgrade that you can purchase ($99 I believe) and they send you a USB unique to your VIN.

Thanks Jeff, you could be right about the GPS software updates, and naturally I assumed that the maps were updated as well.
I am now quite satisfied which is the most important, and I do like and enjoy using the Android Auto features as it makes using an Android phone that much better and easier.

I can't believe the dealer loaded Cadillac software into your car...that is truly bizarre.

They're spot-on with their embarrassment cuz that's one heck of a screw up.

So along similar lines in-regards to software updates and such.... I will be getting a new screen this Friday because I have the screen rolling issue. My Z51 is a 2014, does that mean I will have all updated features as someone who purchased say a 2019?

No, your replaced display will have the same capabilities that came with your 2014 along with any related software updates specific to the 2014. It will not get what later model years had, such as, Apple carplay, Android Auto, etc.
