Just wondering which splitter is stronger to preventing damage from the road? Carbon fiber or fiberglass, I have seen several posts here where the members like Jeremy knocked the front center off of their splitters and Jeremy has the ACS fiberglass model. Who in this forum has had the same happen with a CF splitter? I am thinking the CF is more stealth?

So, I was watching videos the other day of the Z06 speeding around the 'ring, and saw it scrape the splitter many times in corners and uneven pavement. Yet, it did not appear to get damaged in any way. Is it because the angle of incidence is very low in a case like that when compared to hitting a splitter in other ways, or is it because the carbon fiber on the Z06 is more built to take a beating?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Rodney, you are right to think angle of incidence. Do not know the answer to the OP's question. We need one of our vendors who sells both to chime in.

Although I offer both, I recommend Carbon Fiber as it is stronger than fiberglass. Both can be repaired the exact same and if damaged beyond a wet sanding and you'd have to repaint the entire thing anyway if it were fiberglass. With a splitter, the design of it makes a big difference to clearance but as some have found, you can't be cautious when there is road debris in front of you out of nowhere.

Ben, I'm thinking your beautiful CF splitter and rockers are in my future. Any forum discount on these?

Mine is the Carbon Fiber Lashway Motorsports front splitter....love it. I've even used the stretch bra on it for 2 long trips. The splitter holds up like a champ!

I originally went with weaponX fiberglass splitter and LOVE the look (carbon flash) as it matches all the carbon flash accents perfectly. BUT I ruined it today, it didn't do so well hitting the garage door (neither would carbon fiber). I called up WeaponX and I'm having a carbon fiber (painted carbon flash) splitter being sent this time around. Hopefully I can avoid the garage door this time, haha!

BTW... WeaponX has been awesome to deal with, highly recommend their splitters/rocker blades.
