Call me crazy, but I kinda want a [email protected]$$ obnoxious wing like this guy:

So I've ordered a Z51, and I was wondering if the z51 spoiler is mounted through holes in the hatch or not. If it is, is there a spoiler delete option for my build so I can make my own holes for whatever wing I might get? What would you guys recommend for this route?

Biting tongue really hard ;)

The Z51 spoiler is attached to the rear bumper cover, not the hatch.

If I was 17 or 18 years old I would have that just like the crazy sound system I had but I have grown out of that phase.

If it would make me 18 again, all the more reason to get one. ;)

It all depends what you are planning to use the car for. If you are competing at the track, then you are not crazy. The added downforce on a properly sized and set up (solid mounts, high enough above the deck lid, right angle of attack) wing will do excellent things for your lap times. Much like the car in the photo.

If you are planning to put it on your daily driver...you are likely just asking to be vandalized!

stanton, if you are serious I have nothing but good things to say about my wing from APR Performance that I've been using on my track car. Their carbon fiber wings have aggressive camber for a high L/D, a cord twist to match the airflow over the roof, and the carbon looks great (don't leave it outside for extended periods, though. I don't mean parking for dinner, but make sure it's garaged at home). You are probably looking for their GTC-500 wing. I imagine you'd be one of the first C7 applications, but don't be afraid to contact them about C7 specific mounts. I bet they'd love to work with you the get the dimensions dialed in.

Thanks for the info:) I'll do some digging around their site and see if they can develop a wing once I get my car. It may be a while, but if it works out, I'll def post the results.
