Agreed. This has been plastered all over other sites today any it's a bit of a He said, She said sort of thing. There are at least 6 dealer reps who frequent these forums, one of them needs to provide evidence of this or a link to a news article detailing what actually increased since GM hasn't updated their websites.

I have seen this same info. posted on other forums. Several dealerships are being quoted as confirming this as correct. We need to be touching base our own sponsoring dealership to get the full details. We need to know who is exempted from this increase as a result of their previous order. I can well imagine that some folks will not be happy with what we find out if this is correct.

SORRY: C7 Price Increase

Still trying to get GM confirmation, but several top Corvette dealers are saying today an increase of the StingRay base price of $2,000. Increase in Z-51 option price of $1,200, to now becoming a $4,000 option. Note please all the following, and that we are still awaiting formal GM confirmation.

1) GM's "build a Corvette" site is not showing this increase.

2) The effective date of this increase is not confirmed, but believed to be today.

3). If your order is status code 2000 (GM's formal acceptance), the price increase would not apply to your Corvette.

4). If your dealer and you have a signed contact, for a specific amount, the price increase would probably not apply, but encouraged to read the contract fine print.

5). Dealers who have ordered StingRay for stock, not yet received those cars, but whose dealer orders are status code 2000, would not have those cars' price be changed by GM.

Still a fluid situation. As facts and official GM statement is received, this thread will be updated.

Again, sorry to inform of this news.

Heresay (for now?) is this: $3200 increase on Z51 and $2000 increase on Stingray std... anyone verify with their dealership yet? I asked and I'm waiting...

Dave @ Kerbeck posted this: "IF there is a price increase, any order in the system (1100) before the increase is price protected. The way that works is that the car will come in with the new price and the dealer has to apply to get the money back. Don't let the dealer try to bump you for the price increase if you have a sold order in the system."

The new starting MSRP including DFC for these models are now:

It's interesting how this coincides with other reports of GMS (Employee) pricing being offered and the corporate wide Supplier Pricing "Open House" promotion that's nationwide. If they did increase the price then perhaps they are going to offset it with incentives like they did with the Silverado. It's also interesting that when the Silverado/Sierra price's increased in November the news outlets knew about it well before the effective date.

We will likely NEVER see any incentives on Corvettes, especially since they sell everything they make and then some!

Thanks. I will find out tomorrow morning as I am driving straight to my dealer. They are closed with the snow today. I want the car, but If the price jumps more than $3K for my loyalty in waiting for it, I would not buy it.
Hey man, good luck. Tough position to be in and I really hope they honor your proposed price. Do you have a deposit on the car? If so, that will hopefully count for something. However, and I say the following without being the one who is charged the extra bucks... the car is really a blast and worth the money. Here's hoping that they see it your way OR you can see past the 'insult' and still take delivery. If you decide against it, send a registered letter to every GM exec you can identify. Wouldn't it be nice if they actually cared!!!

The new GM employee/supplier pricing program that went into effect earlier this month, specifically excludes both the StingRay and the SS.

CORRECTION: The March program is a GM employee pricing program only. Its is not a "supplier" pricing program. Sorry about providing incorrect info above.

On the base coupe it is less than a 4% increase. I would not let that stop me from owning and driving the best Corvette ever. It stopped snowing here late last week and over the weekend and and the roads were cleared on Saturday, so I finally was able to get some miles on mine. I drove it 95 miles and it is a giant leap forward over my 2010 GS. I've owned a C4, C5, C6 GS, and now a C7 base coupe. My advice to anyone sitting on the fence is: DO IT! You will not be disappointed, $2k increase or not.
