In center bottom instrument cluster in 2014 there is "S" symbol. What is its significance?

I'm guessing you mean on the 1LT (trim level) versus LT1 (an engine designation). All C7 Stingrays have the LT1 engine (the Z06 has the LT4 and the ZR1 has the LT5). All C7 Stingrays have 5 drive modes available (regardless of trim level). Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport and Track. What each drive mode will do depends on what options the car has. For example, the modes can't change the suspension if your car doesn't have MSRC (Magnetic Selective Ride Control). Likewise, without NPP, the modes can't change the exhaust loudness.
