According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "the shy need not apply." So if you do not like to draw attention to yourself, is his point, do not get a StingRay...
As Dan Wiese wrote, "But it’s one thing to stare from a polite distance. It’s another to wade through traffic to gush, up close and personal.
"We were at a stoplight on Manchester Road in Rock Hill when a guy – and I’m not kidding about this – jumped out of his Jeep, ran to our “Torch Red” ’Vette and declared, “I don’t mean to startle you (too late, already did), but I wanted to thank you for letting me see something so beautiful. You’ve made my day.”
And, "Blame the 2014 Corvette Stingray, which, parked in front of our house, lured a passing delivery guy who spent 10 minutes examining the car. But, then again, so did everyone else during our week with this seventh-generation Corvette. It draws attention like Aerosmith on opera night."
His review is more than commenting on how it attracts lots of attention:
"Compatible with a six-speed automatic or our seven-speed manual, which found its gates crisply – just be careful to avoid seventh when you’re aiming for fifth – that V-8 makes 455 hp, which increases to 460 with the exhaust upgrade. With 60 mph 4 seconds away, this is the fastest, most powerful standard Corvette ever. What a hoot – particularly with our Z51 handling upgrades."
