Always. Been waving since August 1989 when I bought my first Corvette. Some wave back, some don't. It has always been that way. The funny part is when I wave automatically...when I'm driving my Yukon. Duhh!

The "Corvette Wave" to other Corvettes is a nice friendly gesture. Been doing it for decades; plan on continuing! Not a snotty thing, but a friendly hello to fellow Corvette owners; even a short video clip (made during C6 generation).

I've been waving ever since I had my C-3 even though I haven't driven one in many years, Just a habit I guess.

There's always self-absorbed A-holes that don't wave back. And as for falling off a bit, wouldn't be surprised. Just another indication of the overall erosion of civility in this country, like people that don't say 'thank you' for a holding a door for them, or people who don't acknowlege you when you give them the courtesy of allowing them to pull in front of you in a line of traffic.

I bet the "Wave" started in '53, when one of the other 299 owners of those white convertibles , saw one another. Let's not lose the "Wave". I waved in '75-'80 and will start to wave to other Corvette owners in the next week or two. If they don't wave back, they probably never felt the way those '53 owners did!
Happy now, Tim ;-)

With my older vetts owners do wave back and it's nice to see them acknowledge the wave. I noticed that the older vett owners (c1 through c6) don't recognize the front end of the new C7 and do not wave back.

I've always practiced the wave since my first Vette, back in '97. It's unconscious, just do it. Actually have to think to not do it when driving my other cars.

Did it on my motorcycle to other cycllists, so I'll do it in the Vette.

Everyone I have seen driving a Vette has waved! I think it is a tradition. I have been doing it since my 1965. Guys on motorcycles even have waved to me first. Must be the C-7 that brings the best out of all of us?

Seems everybody waves at me when I'm in my C7! It's the car... it's a wave-attractor - just like iPhone cameras gravitate to it. Motorcycles seem to love the car as do construction workers. Bees gravitate to it as well... grrr. One fellow pulled up next to me, put his window down (mine was down already) and asked, "Sweetie, now is that your husband's car you're driving?" I smiled and said, "Nope, it's all mine. He has his own." All he said was, "Wow." At car shows, everyone gives kudos to my husband on "his" beautiful car. He responds that it's not his then points over to his hot-looking modified Velocity Yellow Z06 that is usually parked right next to mine. We have a lot of fun with our babies. Always wave or flash the lights, if I don't its because I didn't notice the other vette driver until too late. For the most part all other vette drivers do the same, and if they don't, I assume they didn't see me until too late, it does happen.

Never had a Corvette person I first waved to, shoot at me, so I will continue to take that risk and wave as soon as I see all Corvettes.

Exception: Waving to all Corvettes this August's 7,500 Corvettes, National Corvette Caravan over our six day trip from the Pacific Northwest, will result in shoulder tendonitis.
