Maybe door not shut all the way.. played around with my stingrayDoors unlocked. It's only happened a couple of times. I disabled the passive locking, maybe I was pressing the lock button on the fob unintentionally while exiting.
there is no way to turn off this sensor. It's a reminder that the fob is NOT in the car which is the opposite of leaving the fob IN the car. Talked to dealer, GM customer service, forum members, no way to turn it off and it pisses people off when I'm switching cars around at 5am in the morning.Isn't that some proximity sensor re to the fob being away from the car?

I presume Idepalma that you mean it does the beeps when you exit the car with the engine running and key fob on your person? My understanding is it should not be beeping you with the engine off unless you have some door, trunk or cubby improperly closed when it goes to autolock.there is no way to turn off this sensor.
