I'm off to Grand Bend Motorplex for their lapping this evening. 5-9 pm. $50 preregistration or $75 at the gate. Anyone else want to push their vettes a little tonight?

How did it go? Would like to hear your impression on how it was run, number of cars, etc... and any video if you took some.

I'm thinking of going to Cayuga on Wed Sept 10th, can't do next week have a conflict. Cayuga is an hour closer to me.

How many K's on your C7, and what prep did you do before taking her out?

It was a good time. The track surface is not bad. It feels like its run by a bunch ********. Not very organized. But once you're on track it's fun. Took a few laps to figure out the line. But once I had done that. I passed everything in my group. The vette just digs in and goes like heck around the track. I hit 196kph on the front stretch. The car does intimidate others as you approach them. Had a few guys push way too far, one ended up missing is braking point and went off. Others just got really squirrelly as they tried to get on the gas to early and too hard. But for $50 it was a good time.
I had 1500k's on the car before I went to Toronto motorsports park a few weeks ago.
All I've done to the car so far is change to DOT4 brake fluid

Sounds like a good time!

Yeah, I'm going to change the brake fluid to DOT4. Was also considering doing my first oil change before heading out (at 2500k ), possibly installing the brake cooling rings, but for just a few hours not sure it is worth it yet. First time out will be more about feeling out the car and working on my lines through the corners.

Thanks for the feedback.

I was told by my service manager to change the oil at 500k. He's a big car guy, so I go by what he says.
The only issue I see will the cooling rings is that you have to remove them after the track session.
