Dealer just called, I have been assigned a TPW of 7/14 for my LRG ZF1 coupe.

Light at the end of the tunnel, but still the wait is going to be excruciating.

That's great news Tom - you're gonna love that Vette! You'll also love the attention you get (we've all got too many stories - I have a couple of really great ones from this weekend!).

I'm BAZINGA on the Volt Forum, we'll be trading in our 2012 Volt for the Vette, but keeping the 2013 Volt. That's the PERFECT garage IMHO.
Heh Heh, I thought so. Yeah I still have the 2012 Volt, just running out the lease which is up in Feb. It has been a great car, but my wife wants to keep her Equinox, so the Volt will be going away. Going to miss it though, only used 35 gallons of gas in 17000 miles and 2.5 years. I've used 75 gallons in the Vette in 6 weeks. :) But then again I didn't buy it for mileage benefits either, although I averaged 32 mpg over a 1000 mile trip last week. Not too shabby.

I'll have the two best GM vehicles in my family motor pool. My Yin and Yang in the automotive world.

I also have TPW of 7/14. I was told by Chevy customer assistance that delivery at the dealer is 6 to 12 weeks after that date. Does it actually take that long?

It depends largely on how far you are from BG KY, and how long it takes to get it transported to you. For me, in Northern Indiana (only about 6 hours from BG), it took two weeks to go through final quality inspections and shipping.

For Florida, they may still use a transport truck. Trains seem to be the real bottleneck, and the biggest headache for those who live a good distance from BG.

That works in your favor. Some of the members from FL can share their own experiences wrt delivery times.

I stopped by my dealer this am to pick up some paper work and was BSing with the GM and she told me that GM is having a hard time securing space on rail cars and trucks, she did say that since we are near St Louis their cars seem to come in faster because there are always trucks passing through going other places.

We'll see.
