I'll bite, why is this "just what we all need"? All of that info already is available to you via your on board computer, plus you get the monthly reports from OnStar- at least during the free part.

OnStar (comes with your C7) can locate your vehicle at anytime.I wonder how sophisticated the installed black box by GM is, as related to tracking and the like? Of course it would not be a owner useable device.
