I'm looking at renting a U-Haul to transport my vette back and forth to the track a few times a year. Anyone have experience getting their vette up on a trailer? How hard is it to clear the ramps with the front of the car? And also once the front wheels are on, what about the underside of the car as the back wheels are still on the ground? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a U-Haul instructional video using a Miata, which has a ground clearance similar to the C7 (4.7 inches), although the Miata wheelbase is 15" less than the C7.

If you could rent what is called a "Texas rollback" I know it would fit as one of my friends has one. Another friend uses a flat trailer and carries two one by sixes about 5 foot long as ramps to clear the front end. Could maybe borrow one from a local friend. I know no one who has rented one. The video looks promising. Charlie aka cutnout

Where on the undercarriage do they dog down the C7 when it is towed. Is it the jacking points?

I would use wheel straps vs. attaching to frame hard parts.
