I was unable to open the trunk lid except with the emergency key method. I could hear the relay when I used the remote or the inside or outside button, but the lid would stay closed. This was an intermittent condition for a while, but happened more and more often. Yesterday, I started getting an indication that the trunk was open, even when it was closed, and was unable to lower the convertible top because of it. I took it into the dealer this morning and they replaced the trunk latch. (Both the service advisor and I were surprised they had one in stock.) That solved the problem. It's working fine now.
