For those who want the lightest wheels, you have a "winner," though you will need a little disposable cash. Made of carbon fiber.


Are they worth $15,000 a set? Only you would know that. I do find it amazing that drivers have taken a sports car like a Corvette, run it around the track, came in and only changed the wheels to these, went out and reduced their lap times by over 1 second per lap. Anyone doubt that reducing unsprung weight is one of the best ways to improve handling/lap times.

wow that's light! but $15000, definitely more for the pure track guys with several other mods and an amazing budget.

It is similar to backpacking: a pound on the foot versus a pound in the backpack.

For cars, it is definitely the case that the moment of inertia for the wheels is extremely important!
