I noticed the other day while I was accelerating in 1st gear I got an RPM display in my HUD. It was colored dots that changed from green to amber prior to shifting into second gear. My initial reaction was thats cool and would beneficial on the track. So I opened up the manual to discover its a feature in the track mode setting. What is strange is I got it in sport and when I go into track mode it doesn't display it. Has anyone seen this and or do you get get in track mode at least?

I get the lights on my HUD as well because I use the Track Mode setting in HUD only and on my main display it is on sport mode and the lights do not appear. I haven't driven much in track mode so I can't tell you if the lights show up only on the main screen or both the HUD and screen or not.

I get the lights in Sport mode as well - haven't tried Track.

I don't know that I'd want to try taking a picture though.......

Exactly, kind of hard to shift, hold wheel and take picture.

The HUD was the only reason I ordered the 2LT package (I guess the ventilated seats will be nice in the summer, though).

It's too bad they don't offer the HUD at the 1LT level - they really should!

- Performance Exhaust
- Magnetic Ride

But no HUD! Seriously, how crazy is that!

Sure, I thought of that as well, but it's not as easy an install as I'd like, so for me 2LT it is...

I personally like the 2LT and the features are worth the price tag. Just saying if somebody really wants it and wants to save 3.5 grand over doing a 2LT they can.

I build a second C6 at one point. I had a 3LT that I daily drove and bought a 1LT with high miles, that I built as a weekend warrior or track car. Didn't need the features of a 2LT. So I bought an 07, yanked the seats for Corbeau seats, added a 6 point bar, built a stock stroke over bored LS3, and added the HUD. Made for an awesome toy.

I currently have a friend that I'm doing similar to his 1LT stingray but with a stock LT1 with a cam. The difference in 1LT and 2LT payed for his parts.

Since it is an optional thing for the HUD to display someone said, are you sure you didn't toggle something on or off? I know the combinations in the displays are seemingly endless, so maybe there is hope yet if you check the manual?
