I just installed UPR's C7 Non-Z51 Single Valve Plug-N-Play Catch Can on my Corvette and it's the easiest catch can installation you can buy! I'm very impressed with the quality of the product and have put together an installation guide for those who go with this particular catch can. Here's a direct link to the product on their website: 14-15 Corvette C7 non-Z51 Single Valve Catch Can

A description from the website states:

UPR's all new Single Valve Oil Catch Can incorporates the latest 3 chamber technology for your 14-15 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (non-Z51 models). You can be sure that no other manufacturer can give you the level of quality or performance of a UPR Pro-Series Catch Can. Offering the largest capacity in a compact design to be sure that it can eliminate oil vapors on vehicles that are normally aspirated or power added equipped.

Manufactured from Domestic T-6 6061 Aluminum bar stock and finished off using only the best Diamond cutters to exceed your expectations of what a superior product should fit and look like.

UPR is the largest aftermarket catch can manufacturer in the country. Continually improving our designs to stay ahead of the competition and give you the cutting edge technology of tomorrow today. We are so confident we offer an unconditional warranty on our products to let you know you can always count on UPRproducts.

Product Features

» Show Quality Finish
» Can measures 6" x 2.75"
» Prevents Oil from Entering Intake
» 3/8" Nickel 90* Fittings & Drain Cock
» Improves Fuel Economy & Performance
» Exclusive 3 Chamber Design Traps Oil
» High Quality CNC Machined Billet Aluminum
» 3/8" Oil Resistant Goodyear Braided Hose included
» Available in Satin, Polished or Black - Select Finish Above
I was very impressed with the quick connect fittings on the hoses, which makes installation a cake walk. You don't have to remove the fuel rail covers or plenum cover to attach these hoses. I've seen installation information for other kits, and compared to those, this kit is easier to install. The catch can and hoses are of the highest quality and I'm looking forward to seeing how the catch can performs as I put some miles on the car.

Here is a link to the individual photos that I included in the instruction guide: Postimage.org / UPR Products Catch Can Installation

PM me with your email address if you would like a copy of the four page installation guide in PDF format. The following are the four pages of that PDF.

My UPR catch can arrived today with zero instructions, not to mention zero instructions on their website. I just found this thread. The "mounting" bolt they sent me looks nothing like the one in your photo.

Can't get the camera to focus, but that last picture is of the thread/bolt is an opening for an included allen wrench.

Did they send me the wrong one??

Thanks for the info Jeff, but they only have the instructions for the Z51......but I could do it off Jeremy's photos, the only problem is......that mounting bolt contraption they sent me is nothing like pictured with Jeremy's or the Z51 install for mounting the catch can.

I think you ought to contact them and see if by some chance they sent you the wrong mounting bolt. I'm sure they will take care of the issue if there is a problem.

I'm sure they did as it looks nothing like the one they gave you. Thanks to your post, the rest looks like a snap! Hopefully they will overnight it.

This is the new hardware as we have had a few customers that did not tighten the bolt properly and the ground wire did not ground properly. The ground wire controls the engine and steering and
electronics and we came out with this stud to take yet another step at making this kit a more consumer ready and fool proof setup.

I have attached a picture to explain how it gets installed.

This is a because we have seen people not properly tighten the bolt and tinker with the catch can and the car loses power and it took a few GM techs to get back to us that figured it out. This is what
we have updated all the GM dealers to that install our products. Hope this helps you everyone out.

Thank you and sorry about the lack of instruction on the new setup.

That's a great idea if you split the bottom two nuts and mount the ground wire. I just had
it listed with them on top as the GM guys did it so they would not have to remove the can
to get to the ground. But for aesthetics it would look nicer DOWN UNDER.

BTW, thank you for sharing the install and reaching out to us. That's what were here for.

I guess I could change that wire to between the bottom two if it won't be a problem, just following the directions I read.

I like your install and personally think have the ground wire visible/accessible is a plus.

What is the difference between the non-Z51 and the Z51 catch can system? Some have said that on the non-Z51 a single can does not solve all of the issues. Have you done extensive testing with both catch can systems and come to the conclusion that a single can on the non-Z51 is sufficient?
Thanks
Alan
