Have almost reached 200 miles on my '15, but next week will be adding on almost 4000 miles with round trip to Florida.

I've been riding around in Sport mode because of the sound, and noticed that the DIC is showing at times the V4 signal. Pressing on the gas a tad will bring up the V8 indicator, then back to V4 when pedal is relaxed.
I thought this only happened when in the ECO mode.

Do I have a problem, or is this normal?
Thanks

Jack

v4 will happen in all modes of an automatic - yes, even track mode..

v4 defeated if you move to manual and use the paddles

I just did 3000 miles and here's how I defeated v4:

drive up to cruse speed and move shifter to M - then make sure it says "6" in the display...V4 will never come on - remember to shift back to D when you leave the interstate, toll booth, etc.....

No problem Jack. The V4-V8 functions in all modes unless you are in "M". As for enjoying the sound, if you have the Performance Exhaust you can change your setting so that it is always to Sport or Track regardless of what mode you are in by going into your preferences section. However even with it set to be always open, it will only have that glorious sound at start up and when you are on the gas, otherwise it will settle into the more subdued mode.

Thanks for the update and tips.
One more question....Why even have the ECO mode then?

why not? eco is fine when you are on a long trip and going straight for 8 hours, the car shifts diff and the pedal becomes "longer" so you save a bit of gas...

I have never used it on RedHot. It is designed to potentially further enhance your fuel economy by tweaking fuel delivery, throttle response, etc. I have a accumulated gas mileage of 25 mpg since picking RedHot up at the NCM 1 year and 7k ago. On the highway she averages 30 or better in Tour or Sport.

Change that factory fill oil before heading on that trip. What part of FL are you going to? Stop in if near Tampa/Sarasota!
Ft. Myers but on tight schedule to get there. Going right past you.
Thanks for the offer

Understood..Thanks Glen
Had a 42 mile drive home from dealer, and got 35.9 mpg on flat road at 62 mph. Hard to beat that, and I was playing around with all the modes!!

Glen, I'm defeating V4 mode during my break-in period by doing the procedure you describe, but I bump into manual with mine reading "8" rather than "6" at Interstate speed. Are you thinking 6 because yours is a '14 with the A6, or is there some other reason I should be in "6" on the Interstate?

Where does the 4 show up ? I haven't seen it yet.

In the information center screen as can be seen in this shot (the V4 and V8 appear at the same location depending what your engine is doing)

Those look like high oil and water temps. Is that normal for a C7 in Nevada? I've been there with my Chev. Conversion Van, outside air temp was 155', but my van's temps were normal

Those are quite normal running temperatures for the C7 anywhere. [By the way I have never been in 155 degree ambient temp in a car even in Death Valley] Here is a shot on the second day of my trip back from NCM probably in Arkansas:

Sorry..Type. Meant 115'.
That was hot enough for a trans-planted Canadian!!!
The hottest I ever saw in cruise with my C5 was 187. Oil would run about 205
