Anyone know if the coupe and convertible have different VIN sequences? Specifically, can you tell how many convertibles have been produced so far or is it just the total number of Vettes produced irrespective of being coupes or convertibles? Splitting hairs I know but just curious about that?

Yes see attached pic. Coupe and convertible is designated by the 6th digit of the vin.

The only coupes and convertibles with specifically, separate VINS are the Premiere Editions (500 coupes; 500 convertibles). Thanks Derrick 1812 for pointing out the six digit from the left as the key to distinguish coupes from convertibles. However, when most provide their partial VIN, such as a person saying that I am VIN number 17,555 -- referring to the 17,555th car built (again excluding the Premiere Editions), that number is mixed with both coupes and convertibles. They are no hard numbers yet as to how many of each type have been built.
