The voltmeter reading on my C-7 has consistently been in the 14.2 to 14.6 range since I took delivery in late March. Starting today, it is now reading around 12.8 to 13. Even though this is not necessarily an abnormally low reading, it seems odd that it would change so suddenly. The only accessory being used is the radio. Does anyone have any thoughts ? Am I being too much of a worry wart?

Your not giving us a lot to work with here. First off how often do you drive your car? Also, do you use a battery tender or similar float charger while your car is not being driven?(I would bet, not) I would without knowing anything about your situation think that everything is fine, based only on what you did say.

I drive, on average, 3-4 times per week, and keep it on a battery tender all the time in the garage. Have about 600 miles on it.

Ok, I think what you are seeing is normal. How long does your battery tender take to indicate that is in "stand-by" mode after your car is driven? By the way are you using a Battery Tender "Plus" or "Jr"?

Usually takes 10 minutes or less for tender to go to standby (or float). I am using a Schumacher Battery Companion.

Last time I checked my "volts" the reading was 13.9. The next time I take it for a ride I'll check the reading at start-up and watch it as I'm driving along. I'll post those readings in a day or two.
