I placed an order recently in western Canada and was told by dealer to expect deliveries around May or June in time for summer since GM is about to switch to 24 hour production however nothing is guaranteed. Anyone can confirm this bit of info?
I am around 7, 8 on the list is the may june time for delivery resonable or a line of bs? If the dealer gets 2 3 a months like they say then it sounds about right, but not sure if allocations are assigned monthly..Tadge Juechter, Corvette Executive Chief Engineer, when asked whether he was going to add a second shift, noted that while demand is very strong the beginning of a new generation Corvette, it has historically tailed off toward end of the generation (of course exacerbated during the 6th generation because of the "Great Recession." He unequivocally stated he was not adding a second shift.
Think while your dealer might wish for added shifts, especially because only 300 StingRays were allocated for Canada for the 2014 model year, it is not going to happen. GM can manufacture 32,000+ StingRays per year, and they are not planning to add a second shift, let alone 24 hour production.
this will be tough for you to get a handle on unless you have a serious discussion with your dealer, preferably the GM of the dealership itself. you have to know the following:I am around 7, 8 on the list is the may june time for delivery resonable or a line of bs? If the dealer gets 2 3 a months like they say then it sounds about right, but not sure if allocations are assigned monthly..
So this one dealer gets 10% of Canada's stingrays? I find that hard to believe.I am around 7, 8 on the list is the may june time for delivery resonable or a line of bs? If the dealer gets 2 3 a months like they say then it sounds about right, but not sure if allocations are assigned monthly..
