Easter Sunday and we needed to split up, so the wife leaves first to go to her parents for dinner and I am still at the house and just about ready to leave to take my niece to the train station. I went out to the garage to load up luggage and guess what?

The wife took off with the C7!!!!!

Not happy that she got to it before I had a chance to take it!!!

LOL. I originally ordered a manual transmission, but my wife "convinced" me that what I really needed was an automatic. You know, traffic is bad around here, she said. I said that isn't a problem for me. She then said you never know but what she may need to drive it in "an emergency." I finally got the point.

I wonder how frequently we are going to have "emergencies" in our future. Haha!

Haha! In all honesty, I am not going to care if she drives it. This is the case even though not a single penny for the car will come out of the family account, and not a single penny will come out of her separate account.

I am glad she likes it, she, my wife, just needs to learn how to share better! Plus I do have another sports car that she doesn't like to drive because it's a manual transmission. So it will all work out.

Had a good laugh over this one. Mine is a 7sp which wife refuses to drive (afraid I'd cry if she left the tranny behind). But... She drove dad's w/ auto... And now talking about how she loves "the blue one"... Ummmm. Didn't think I was gonna buy two this year.

OUR car will be ours 50/50. Not "his" or "hers" in any way. We even negotiated on the options, etc.

We already did a road trip in our C7 rental / test and we both drove in shifts and it worked perfectly. We both got some fun twisty parts, and both got some boring straight parts.

And we will BOTH go to Bondurant so we can drive it properly.

Maybe you should just take your wives to driving school with you so that when she takes it out, you'll know she will be able to handle it too. ;) I'm thinking both of us at driving school is going to be FUN!!!

Cheers!

Probably Charles, as he would care more and I'd be happy to take his pic sitting in it. I am the photo happy person. (You'll soon find out or you already know Ken!)

He drove the rental first and all thru the city parts that were less than fun. I just split on the scenic drive day.

You do realize though that I work from home ;) where the car will be... I'm thinking whenever I have to run across the bay to meet a client or friend, it might get non-weekend exercise!

See you Sunday,
Suzy
