Hi. New to the Sting Ray forums but not old or even new cars. Located in New England and formely owned the same 1970 GM A body for 31 years, doing everything but stitching the seats, spraying paint, and building the trans and rear end.Installed that stuff though. including my own convertible tops. Built my own engines, did my own bodywork, restored wiring harnesses, wheels, blah blah. Looking forward to learning what I need to know before seriously hunting for one of my my grail cars- a small block, manual trans C2 Coupe, but just 64 and up. Not even gonna kid myself about a 63 coupe. I've been a convertible and roadster man for well, 33 years, but there's something special about a C2 Coupe, to me.

What I'm not interested in is cutting anyone up for the wrong hose clamp or date code on a window. My life is too short for that.

Thanks. I plan on not buying for a year as I get info and talk to people. I'm not taking this type of money lightly!

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a new Corvette fan. I'm currently driving an Audi TTS. It's been great but I'm sure a Corvette will give me even more fun. I've started my long journey of saving up to purchase a C8 in the future.

Previous Corvettes was an 82 I fully restored, 2016 60th that I bought new, also my 1st new car as well, & a 2000 convertible.
My daily is an Audi A7, my 3rd Audi & 2nd A7.

Hello! I am now a first-time owner of a Corvette. I picked up a Daytona Sunrise Orange Z51 this past Friday. It's a 2016 with 50k miles, but in fantastic shape. Or at least it was. My wife and I drove to Knoxville to pick it up, and less than 15 minutes from our home here in middle-Georgia, a deer decided to ruin our day. Nobody was hurt, and the car is still driveable.

We rode the Tail of the Dragon on the way home. Here's a good picture that Killboy took:

Manual transmission, light gray interior.

The deer smashed up the passenger headlight, fender, marker light, and part of the front bumper. There's only one good body shop in town, and they are super backed up, so it may be late spring before I can get the repair work done.

Anyway, happy to be here, and expect to learn a lot.

I've been lurking for a long time, perfect opportunity for my first post: I looked around for quite a while before I found my perfect vehicle, also a 2016 Z51 in Daytona Sunrise Orange! We are 2 of only 965 2016 C7's made in this color! I've been in love with the Corvette since watching Route 66 on TV when I was a kid. Finally made my dream come true and I'm so happy with this amazing piece of engineering, brings a smile to my face every time I look at it, and giggle every time I drive it!
