On the fence on car color now and still sitting at 1100. Hope to go 2000+ this week or next. At what point can I no longer make changes? Sorry if its buried in another thread, if it is I could not find it via search.

3000 is that point. No customer, no dealer can make a change at that point. At that point GM is building that exact car and it is going to your dealer. Your dealer can not "trade it" with a future allocation. Your dealer then has the choice of using a "future allocation" to build you a different car, or to tell you, "you ordered it, it's yours, come get it when it arrives," or keep it for stock.

Be wary that the time frame from 2000 to 3000 status can be weeks or hours.

The dealer that I am purchasing from sent me the paperwork when they entered the order to have me confirm that it was correct. When I was at status 2000 they sent me again the paperwork and had me reconfirm the order and that it was correct. They made it very clear at this point I could not make any further changes.

I would expect a quality dealership to keep you in the loop and have you confirm the order before it got to 3000.
