There is a genuine "I want to help" attitude in this forum. Folks ask questions, and even if their questions indicate that this will be their first Corvette, responses are not sarcastic nor put downs, but "information sharing." We also don't get endless arguments and attacks and then more personal counter-attacks, instead civility.

I'm a member of a mustang forum that's model specific like this one and its great because everyone here ( like that forum) are here because of a certain model. So there isn't any bashing C6 over C7 or C5 etc and we can just share info and our love for our cars.

I joined this forum upon the recommendation of forum member elegant. The other "big" Corvette forum just got too annoying with the Haters, Trolls, and Combative members. It is still a source for good information, but many threads have been polluted by unruly posts. Their moderators should recognize when a private battle has become a nuisance to the original post and dilutes the effectiveness of gathering information and simply remove the offending posts or suggest the combatants take their battle offline.

I'm looking forward to learning and sharing about the new C7 on this forum while I patiently wait for my C7 to arrive sometime next spring. It will be my first Corvette.

Hope the Stingray forum develops a strong following and its members help give it an interesting personality.

Welcome Rfong; I would love to think we can be "that other C-7 forum" where people can share our ownership experience with civility and without getting into all the counterproductive jive that many car forums seem to degrade into. There is no reason for anyone to feel like their opinion is not worthwhile regardless to whether they have had prior Corvette ownership or not. Without question prior experience with this vehicle will be helpful in understanding the new C-7. I would hope that those of us with it would use it to offer it as a helping hand and not as a hammer to wail away with when basic "info. gathering" questions are asked. Sharing and exchanging information should be what we are all about here!
