I'm thinking more of the Z06. I'm sure if this happens, John (elegant) would let us know. I like how they refer to the track as the "Green Hell"!

I heard they ran the C7 Z51 there but never published the times.
They ran both the base and Z51 there last summer as part of developing the final calibrations, that's the main purpose for going there or at least it was the main reason they used to go there until the lap times became a marketing tool.

I guess you can blame Ruf and Yellowbird for starting all the hype :) (if you don't know what I mean then google "Ruf Yellowbird")

From what's been said by Tadge and others, they were never able to get a complete clean lap due to weather in the 2 weeks they were there. It's not like using their own facilities, they only go there for a week or 2 each year. The fact that there's a Z/28 time published and not a Z51 time has the conspiracy theorists on the other sites 20 threads deep on the "cover up" by GM, I don't think we need to recreate that here.

The Z06/07 will have a time this fall, count on it. Hopefully they will also publish a Z51 time.

For the youngsters or anyone who hasn't followed what most consider the birth of the tuner cars here's a real good "then and now" piece on Ruf.
