I didn't get window tint when I picked up my car as I wasn't sure if windows would be factory tinted. Im curious to know what others are doing for window tint (and if dealer install, how much). My dealer wanted to charge me I believe around $350 for the tint. I'd like to get a light tint for sides and darker tint for rear. What's everyone getting?

I want dark tint all the way around. The dealer has someone come in and do it. the dealer will be paying.

I didn't get my Black Z51 tinted until a week after I picked it up. I decided on a local Tint shop who was going to use Llumar and was going to charge $149. I decided on having my dealer install 3M for $185, lifetime guaranteed. It makes the Black even more gorgeous.

Actually picked up my C7 from my dealer out of Illinois and then drove back to Iowa straight to my tint guys garage. He's been doing tint since he was 12 years old believe it or not. Started off with his father. He's done all my cars and trucks over the years. I always go 5 percent all the way around. My C7 cost me 180.00. I will try to post some pics of it later.

I can't do 5 pct...super illegal here in fla and they will pull you for it, besides I drive at night and 5pct is impossible to see out of...

I'll probably do full metal limo tint all the way around, at this point I want limo on the front too. Completely illegal I know but whatever the tint company covers tickets. They remove it and put it back on free (with the full metal) just guessing but will be north of $800 probably closer to 1,000. Gonna be a storm trooper.

Hi Dave. I found a tint dealer here in Chandler (Huff's Automotive on the se corner of Dobson and Chandler Blvd). He has a tint that is also a heat repellant of sorts. Looking at doing my C-7 there.

Mike - whats he going to charge you? Ive seen many folks here saying around $180-200. Dealer wanted around $350 which seems steep. Also, do you have glass top? I have glass top in my C5 and it's like a magnifying glass in summer. I either need to get solid top or something else???

Consider getting a clear heat reduction tint on the transparent panel. That is what I plan on doing. I had it done on my XTS which has a ginormus sun roof over the front and back seats. They put somesort of clear tint (you can not see it) and it significantly reduced the heat coming through.

I got call from dealership today as a follow up. I had small nick on roof. They said they will repaint it and need car for 4 days. They told me they'll give me a car during this time (great plus). I'll get my window tint at same time, they quoted me $180. I will definitely look into roof tint as well. Ill probably call tomorrow morning and ask about it as Im out of town right now.

That's funny, I have a painted top and was going to order a glass one so I had both
