I am ordering a C7 as soon as it opens up .I do plan on Racing it and depending how the NHRA rules for roll bars apply I will modify it to get to the fastest I can without putting a roll bar in.11.5 for sure but depending what NHRA 's definition of "unaltered " Is I'd like to see 10's . Have a 2010 SS Camaro with a L 99 running 9.81 with a Maggie and a 50 shot . The C7 will be about 3500 lbs with me in it as opposed to a little over 4000lbs for that fat pig Camaro.I bet with a tune ,Possibly a larger throttle body and DR's we will be in the low 11's . Looking for some opinions here and does anyone know the NHRA rule regarding "unaltered" Can't wait to get that car . Jim

I used to drag race... got bored of it quick. I'm an autocross and road race guy myself and in my opinion it would be a shame to take a C7 and start modifying it to be a quarter mile king. It's like getting a pet tiger and feeding him Meow Mix.

I understand! I got into Drag Racing about three years ago and Im surprised myself that for me its not boring. It's like golf, most of my friends play and love it Id rather clean "your car". I like your analogy and it requires a different set of driving skills .I probably wouldn't be good at what you do ,too much stuff to remember .When I race my Buick Grand National all I have to remember is 3,500 rpm leave on last yellow and try not to bounce off the wall! Oh and apply brakes after I pass the traps.Enjoy, whatever you do ,it is an awesome car and Iv'e had four other Vettes . Thought the C 6 Was THE car ,This appears in many ways to be 10 times better. Can't wait to get pricing and my official order in.JimMag
