Hey Guys,

I am a member of this forum for past few months. I have been reading all comments and feedback on all sort of items. Currently, I want to install/wrap my stingray with xPEL film or Suntek film along with Opti Coat 2.0 or Cquartz Finest. I have seen some of best pictures of these films and coating from 2013 until now. Before I wrap my car, I would appreciate if you guys share your thoughts/feedbacks along with any current pictures those who have already install these products, especially on following area.

1. How long have you done these?
2. Which product used?
3. Who is your installer if possible?
4. Wear and tear?
5. Any scratches or marks?
6. Any cuts?
7. Peel off?
8. How about shine?

Thanks
Ajay

I had Xpel Ultimate installed at the end of February. It was installed by Clear Bra St. Louis, MO. I covered the nose, full hood, full front fenders, mirrors, A pillars, full rockers (including the whole section behind the rear wheels, full sills, door cups, headlamp lenses, and door edges. After 72 hours, I sealed it with Xpel sealer.

So far, there are a couple of small spots where rocks struck the nose, but they did not penetrate the PPF. There are no bubbles. and it remains shiny. I have washed the car one time with water. After every drive, I use Adam's Quick Detailer over the whole car, wheels, and glass. It is shiny. I shall include a picture of the hood taken about a week ago. It has not peeled and I see no wear so far. Bugs wipe off with MF towel and QD. I have posted in other threads about my experience with Xpel, but to re-state, I am an Xpel fanboy. It makes maintaining the exterior of the car very easy and a 15 minute job. I have no financial interest in the company or product.

Had Xpel installed on the bumper, headlamps, and sills. CQuartz Finest on the rest of the car. Both completed immediately after November delivery. Completely satisfied with both. The bumper protection saved me from some dingbat backing over the bumper while visiting Key West. Scratches in Xpel self-repaired...no visible damage. In Florida, love bug infestion can cause grief twice a year. Absolutely no problems from bugs. Washing is a breeze with Optimum wash, either no rinse or standard soap product. Installation of both products, especially the Xpel/3M, is extremely important. I watched the entire process and "it ain't easy." I'm sure you can find a qualified/certified installer in your area. Go and see them. Ask about experience and, if you dare, a reference. I live in east central Florida so my guy isn't terribly practical for you. Do both unless you really like detailing. Plenty of knowledge of that on this forum.

3. Who is your installer if possible? Rock Guard Films, Allentown, PA
4. Wear and tear? None
5. Any scratches or marks? None
6. Any cuts? None
7. Peel off? None
8. How about shine? Looks like hot red lip gloss on the hottest chick you've ever seen.

I had Suntek PPF installed on the entire front of the car. Also had paint correction and Cquartz Finest applied. I had this done the first couple of month of owning the car. So around the end of 2013.
I get my car hand washed by my detailer. I have hand washed it myself a few times.
I have a black stingray non-Z51 but I got the black Z51 wheels on it and got them coated with Cquartz finest too.
I am totally happy with Suntek PPF and would even consider wrapping the whole car in it. I live in Phoenix so there are a lot of rocks flying around on the road. I have a few small marks on my windshield from rocks hitting it, I'm sure the Suntek PPF has protected the front of my car.
Cquartz Finest is also really nice and give it amazing shine and makes it easy to clean. There are a few minor scratches in my paint but I'm sure it would be much worse with Cquartz. Since my car is black every scratch shows.

Do yourself a favor and get the ppf on the front end and have CQ Finest applied to the entire car (including film) afterwards.

Highly suggest taking the car to a professional detailer before the ppf goes on to strip any wax/sealant/glaze off the surface and prep (paint correction) the front end for film.

Is cq that much better than bf, that it's worth removing bf and applying cq? If so I guess I'll start over again!

Yes it absolutely is worth removing and applying the CQ.

I have people who come in with their cars already coated with "another" coating and have it removed in favor of CQuartz Finest. Definitely worth it.

Xpel Self Healing here.
Complete front end, headlights, mirrors, door edges and door handle area.
He does not use a kit. He custom fits and cuts each piece for maximum coverage and fewer visible edges.
$850 at Custom Clear Bra (Makea). He works out of Metal Magic at 56th and South Tacoma Way.
Great Job.

I had "The Detailing Pros" detail shop in Huntington Beach CA put Ceramic Pro 9h on the entire car.
Then had "Elite Clear Bra" in Huntington Beach install Xpel Ultimate to the nose, fenders, headlights, hood and mirrors the first week of May.
Daily driver. I wash the car every 2-3 weeks and use Maguire's Quick Detail between washes. Can't really tell much difference with the Xpel. It shines up real well with the Quick Detail.

I'm starting to think withA 10 year guarantee on Xpel.Probably best to have it on the full front.Bumper, hood, front fenders,Rocker.
Maybe CQuartz on the rest.I believe every 3 years or so you need to re do the CQuartz.
