I agree as well if it didn't come straight from Tadge's mouth I would never believe it. Like everyone else I'm going to Carlisle to see this car so one better be there...

Hope they have the Tiger Shark convertible, so many more can see both that color in person with its Spectra Gray wheels and, the second Z06 being, finally, the public debut of a final version of a Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic coupe (stage 1 or 2), so folks can see that color/stage also.

After checking various web sites and news on the Z06 nothing has been printed to lure the faithful to Carlisle to see a new Z06. I went to Vettes at Carlisle for 8 straight years and last year the vendors dropped off the face of the earth and more food vendors popped up. The Chrysler Nationals last year had one vendor for our modern Challenger 392 and that was Mopar. Yes, one vendor then they had 100 food vendors. Never again. We just went to the GM Nationals to sell a 2004 CTV Caddy with 4000 miles on it. They had 50 cars in the car corral, no shoppers to be found. The foot traffic was pathetic. I want my money back. Two days and a few hundred spectators not shoppers. Carlisle is off my list. If you check out their web site its from 10 years ago. Lastly my dealer and friend said little about pricing for the Z and the press will know before him. He brings in 4 Zs for display and sale and 10 various other models. He hasn't received a dealer order form yet. I would say its going to be a $89k base plus the most popular add on the Z07 package gets you to $100k plus local and sales tax. Too rich for me. I guess the new Challenger hellcat, maybe the next gen Camaro if they offer the LT4 in the Zl1 or mustang GT500 if the 5.8 is offered with an automatic. $75k fully optioned.

As I don't totally disagree with you I will say this. I personally know the co-owner of Carlisle and he told me Z06's will be there. Also just recently it was noted that GM has just built another 6 Z06's. Carlisle is the biggest Corvette show out there and GM always has a huge display and brings in more GM engineers and folks than any other show. So for them to show up at Carlisle without a Z06 would seen really nuts. May even start a riot. :)

Also as far as pricing time will tell but from the very mouths of GM folks like Tadge they said pricing will be very close to C6 Z06 pricing which is way below $89K. Now fully loaded with Z07 package I can believe we will see $100K.

I would bet my bottom dollar that there will be a Z06(s) at Corvettes at Carlisle. I have been attending the Carlisle events since 1978, it's 90+ acres of Cars and car parts...14 miles if you walk every path...if you have never been...you need to attend some day. It's only 90 miles to the North of my house so I am fortunate.

~And if you have never met Lance Miller, below is a picture of him and his wife from last yrs Carlisle event when we had dinner together at the Callaway dinner on the Friday night of the Corvette event. He is 100% passionate about all cars...especially Corvettes.
