Here are some differences between the Z and the Stingray. Note the A8 cooler.

I found it on the news section of GMauthority.com. "The extensive list of concept factory engineered parts being shown are as follows:
Z06 stabilizer bars, control arms and the Z06’s unique composite transverse leaf spring
Unique Bilstein shocks, tuned to match the chassis components of the Z06
Z06 front and rear brakes (steel rotors) – featuring Brembo aluminum six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers; and 14.6-inch-diameter front rotors and 14.4-inch rear rotors
Z06 front and rear brakes (carbon ceramic rotors) – the brakes from the Z06’s available Z07 package include 15.5-inch carbon ceramic matrix front rotors and 15.3-inch carbon rear rotors
Z06 front brake ducts
Z06 600-watt radiator electric fan for superior cooling capability
Z06 front grille, which offers 17-percent greater airflow than the grille on the Stingray with the Z51 package – and it includes inlets that match the Z06 front brake ducts
Z06 rear transmission oil cooler – a larger cooler assembly that replaces the one used on the Stingray’s Z51 package for about 15-percent more cooling capacity
Z06 front auxiliary transmission cooler that essentially doubles the overall cooling capacity
Z06 rear quarter-panel vents that provide approximately 25-percent greater airflow than the Z51 vents at track speed
Z06 carbon fiber torque tube that is about 13.2 pounds lighter than the Stingray’s torque tube
Z06 drive shaft couplers that are designed to stand up to higher exhaust heat than the Stingray and Z51 couplers
Z06 carbon fiber underbody braces are 17-percent lighter than the Stingray’s aluminum braces, while offering comparable stiffness
Z06 high-wing rear spoiler with wicker, based on the available carbon fiber aero package."

Just wondering how or why GM would include some of these Z06 parts in their parts catalog for the Stingray when they are unable to provide enough of them for the Z06 production run? For example some of the Carbon Fiber Aero pieces.

Of course they did not mention when this stuff would be available. I was most interested in the fact that the front transmission cooler that will be in the A8 Z06 doubles the cooling capacity!

I don't think these are listed in their parts catalog, but listed in an article. I don't see unique Z06 wheels and tires......but I guess they don't consider those engineered parts!

Ah... I saw the other post. I think GM will do very well to keep up with Z06 production before making some of these parts available for everyone else.

Yea, I love the style of wheels that come with the Z06 and have been thinking about a second set of rears for a set of drag radials just for kicks... And yes, I understand they increased the size of the front transmission cooler for the A8 in the Z06, as well as the rear in order to resolve the transmission cooling issues that presented itself with the A6 in the 2014's.

GM is testing at SEMA, the "concept" of your being able to order some Z06 parts when a brand-new StingRay is ordered, not as subsequent, dealer-installed, over the parts counter, subsequent accessories, but through an option box selectable at the time a new StingRay is ordered.

We are already seeing, "off the record," Z06 grills being installed in a StingRay.

GM Authority said:
Chevrolet is showcasing a whole slew of concept performance parts for the Corvette C7 Stingray that will be pulled down from 2015 Corvette Z06. Announced at the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Chevrolet Performance has concocted everything from steel rotor brakes with Brembo six-piston calipers, to a larger rear transmission cooler, to a new front grille allowing for greater air flow, all for the Stingray model. Considering the C7 Z06 isn’t launching until January 2015, the parts are just a concept… for now.
To recap (and honestly it’s a great recap), let’s talk about the performance of the 2015 Z06 for a brief moment. The monster 2015 Corvette Z06 achieves a sub-3 second 0-60 time, and an 11-second quarter-mile. Power is either sent to the standard 7-speed manual, where 0-60 can happen in as few as 3.2-seconds, or the all new 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters, which makes for a a 0-60 time of 2.95(!)-seconds. And so, the Chevrolet Performance concept parts are meant to demonstrate that Stingray owners could apply factory-engineered Z06 parts to their Stingrays to make the car an even more capable track machine.
“We are looking forward to feedback from SEMA members and Corvette enthusiasts around the world about their interest in these concept Z06 parts” said Jim Campbell, Vice President of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports.

We’re fairly certain that reactions will be very warm to these possible upgrades for the Corvette Stingray, as they could offer some seriously great improvements from an already-incredibly-engineered car.

As an option a "track pack" makes sense. Im only getting the ZO6 for its extended track hardware. If it was available on a Z51 then I would get that. I personally feel the ZO6 is going to be a handful to work with all of that torque...on or off the track. I have been tracking cars for over ten years and that much torque is nothing but trouble and requires a tempered right foot.
