That's good news, also I heard him say the black out tail lights are correct. I assumed they had to be red in color but he said, of course, they light up in red.We previously learned that all Z-51 components (upgraded to handle the HP/TQ), and MSRC are standard, and now know that NPP is also standard on the Z06.
That's great. Then I can wait till they come out and legally buy and install blacked out lights for my '14 CG Stingray :-DThat's good news, also I heard him say the black out tail lights are correct. I assumed they had to be red in color but he said, of course, they light up in red.
Wow! With 6 lbs. saving and more efficient this is going to be a fanatic transmission. I really liked when he said "wait to you drive it"! Oh the wait is going to kill me!!! LOLI may have missed it on the earlier posts re the new 8 speed, but in this interview Tadge states it both lighter than the 6 speed and more efficient. Quite a feat!
Thanks for posting rdslon01. Interesting that officially GM does not call the Z06/07 a Stingray, nor is there any Stingray on the body. In the press release they reference the 'base 2014 Stingray' and components from the 2014 Stingray.GM has put up a lot of information about the Z06 here:
2015 Corvette Stingray Z06 Supercar | Chevrolet
I read the vast majority the posts on this forum, yet some of the information about the Z06 at the official link above was still news to me. Check it out!
