So arrived at Carlisle today. They have a yellow one, a shark gray, white and a blue convertible.

My first up close look at the Z06 and all I can say is wow! They have a shark gray under the tent and the color is beautiful.

Under the hood the cover has the corvette flag as well says Z06, painted in this will look really nice.

Now just the wait.

I really think the Z06 in black & yellow is absolutely gorgeous and I love how it looks just like the race car. For me it would be too flashy for a daily driver but i definitely see the appeal!

Just curious if the pearl nickel wheels are visibly different looking than the silver Z51 wheels. I've never seen them in person. Has anyone looked hard enough to compare them. I didn't know if it was just a fancier name than silver or if there is a definite difference. Thanks!

There is a difference. These wheels are on at least one of the Z06 that we have been seeing since earlier this year (the gray Z06 with red calipers). Look back at some of the photographs.

Thanks for the reply. Ive seen them in pics but most of the showroom pics I've seen i can't tell a real difference between the Z51 and Z06 wheel finish. I just didn't know if they had them side by side there at Carlisle. But if you've seen them, I definitely believe you there's a difference. I would hope so since they named them a different color. And to use pearl, hopefully there's a lot more depth to their finish. Land vehicle Vehicle Car Auto show Automotive design

I have not seen the pearl nickel; I have seen the silver. The silver does not reflect brightly. Even in direct, intense light, it scatters light under illumination, not intensely reflect it. Although I have not seen the pearl nickel in person, and you can never be sure of the exact color from a picture, the ability of a surface to reflect light (if there are small bright spots compared to more diffused illuminated spots) is something you can see from a picture.

From all the pictures I have seen, I can definitely tell the pearl nickel wheels reflect more light than the silver wheels. As far as brightness is concerned, they are somewhere between the silver and the chrome SingRay wheels.

For me, I can already tell I will like the pearl nickel better than the silver or the chrome.

Ok so more info from GM and Harlan.

The spoiler we've all seen the Z07 spoiler is the stage 3 that has the glass window in the middle that is adjustable up and down. If you get a stage , 1 or 2 spoiler it looks like the Z07 spoiler but has no glass window in the middle. There is just sort of a valley there instead and not as tall.

No EPA numbers yet and may not be any until they start to ship.

Over the next couple of weeks they are going to start to build some more Z06 for testing so those going to the NCM next week might see one.

The 8 speed auto while cruising will automatically go into 4 cylinder mode.

Sorry made a slight correction to the spoiler info.

The base Z06 spoiler is the same as the CFZ/V stage 2 spoiler? Never seen or read about that before.
We have pictures of the base and it is much more like the Z51 spoiler.

In fact, the CFZ/V states it has a more aggressive rear spoiler....

CFZ:
"NEW! Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package,
includes Carbon Flash-painted splitter and rockers, and
more aggressive rear spoiler"

So, I believe Stage 2 is the same without the clear center piece in the Z07 package, but Stage 1 or base is the much smaller spoiler similar to the Z51.

Do the aero packages on the z06 improve its capabilities on the track or are they just cosmetic upgrades? As far as I understand the trim levels (1LZ, 2LZ, etc) improve creature comforts and the Z07 improve its track abilities with carbon ceramic brakes. Having a tough time understanding the aero packages. Thanks.

The aero packages do increase the aerodynamics for the track. Stage 1 < Stage 2 < Z07.

From what they told me that is correct. They did away with using the Z51 spoiler because it didn't create enough down force. So Stage 1 and 2 do not have the clear center piece.
