Z51 Automatic Launch Control

Forgive me if this has been addressed (please point me to the thread), but I can't seem to find the answer here...

I have a 2016 Z51 with automatic. Working on 0-60 times today and can only get to 4.8 (tires are warm, everything is good to go). The issue is that the way I am running it, I am getting a TINY bit of wheel spin before I "launch" and it starts the timer there....

The car is in Track mode. Double-tap traction control where I get to the launch control settings. I chose "Track". Foot FIRM on brake, FIRM on gas, then release break. There is when I am getting that little spin that starts the clock early. Am I doing this correctly? Should I just ignore the break all together and just floor it?

Thank you in advance!!!!

That sounds like the right way to do it. John

Darthalf, that is exactly the method they show at spring mountain. Even at spring mountain there was a little wheel spin when using launch control. The biggest thing is that it just limits wheel spin and assists in keeping the car going strait.

Also, a little interesting fact... With launch control on you'll actually get more wheel spin on the launch in a manual transition than you do in the automatic transmission.
