This is the one that adds a check valve to stop fluid drain back from the T/C and fixes delayed engagement, Low speed forward slipping, Low speed harsh shifts and down shifts.

Thank you Arctic C7 on posting the recent A8 TSB, the improvement reducing low speed clunk when shifting from park to reverse and/or part to drive. Great find!

Hi all,
I have this same problem with my '15 Stingray. I took it to the "vette specialist" dealer several months ago. I had the shudder problem AND the delayed shifting and significant lurch forward/clunk when the car is cold and shifting from Rev to Drive. The dealer changed the transmission fluid and the shudder went away, but that did nothing for the lurching/delayed shifting.
I was told recently that Chevrolet has been fixing too many of these and that they have now changed the requirements for the repair. If my car takes 3 seconds or less to shift from rev to drive then Chevy won't do anything for me as that is "normal." Of course that completely ignores the huge lurch/clunk when it does shift-which of course is not normal.
Any thoughts on how to get Chevy to fix this?

Shop around for a different Chevrolet dealership.

Yes , had mine in last year for the same thing. Unfortunately just before the strike. Spent over a month waiting for new trans and torque converter. Full warranty replacement and no problem since.

I had the shudder problem fixed by having the 3X fluid drain and fill procedure done (TSB 16-NA-175). Now I'm having the delayed engagement issue but according to TSB 16-NA-364 GM doesn't consider my delay long enough to merit repair. I've gotten in the habit of keeping my foot on the brake until the transmission engages. It's not surprising that there are at least two class action lawsuits filed against GM by disgruntled owners of vehicles with the A8.
